Our Editorial Mission
The Republican Ledger exists to give American readers fair, independent and timely reporting on the decisions being made in their name.
We are independently owned. No party, campaign or advertiser directs our coverage, and advertising is kept entirely separate from the newsroom.
We report from a conservative point of view about what matters to American families: Washington, the economy, the courts and the country beyond the coasts. We lead with the facts and label opinion as opinion.
Speed matters, but accuracy comes first. When we get something wrong we correct it at the top of the story, in plain language. Our full standards are set out on the Newsroom page.
Editorial Team & Desks
The Ledger is edited in Washington, D.C. Every report is assigned, checked and signed off by the desk responsible for it, and reporter bylines are added to this page as staff join the masthead.
